The Book List

The Price of Peace
Zarachy D. Carter blends twentieth-century financial history, personal drama, and political upheaval in an epic novel. The book shines a light on an influential economist’s world and his transformative ideas, gaining relevance during economic crises. It offers a compelling read and brilliantly introduces finance to those who usually keep it at arm’s length.

Principles of Dealing With the World Order
History tends to repeat itself in one way or another. Principles for Dealing with the Changing World Order, Ray Dalio‘s (founder of Bridge Water) latest book, examines history’s most turbulent economic and political periods to reveal why the times ahead will likely be radically different from those we’ve experienced in our lifetimes—but similar to those that have happened many times before. This book definitely helps people make better decisions.

Mindset
Renowned Stanford University psychologist Carol S. Dweck, PhD, is a pioneer in studying human motivation. Firstly, she dedicates her research to understanding the factors behind people’s success or failure and identifies what we can control to promote success. Moreover, Dweck reveals fresh perspectives on her widely accepted and celebrated concept. Additionally, she uncovers the phenomenon of a false growth mindset and steers individuals towards embracing a more authentic, profound growth mindset. Furthermore, she extends the application of the mindset concept, applying it not only to individuals but also to the cultures within groups and organizations.

Atomic Habits
This book ranks as one of my all-time favourites for breaking bad habits and cultivating better ones. Initially, I have read it multiple times and, likely, will continue to do so until its teachings are ingrained in my DNA. Subsequently, James Clear’s book highlights the significance of small habits, consistency, time management, self-discipline, effective planning, and thorough preparation. Consequently, these invaluable lessons have significantly aided me in achieving my goals.

Know Yourself, Know Your Money
You may already know how to make the right money decisions, but you probably still slip into impulse purchases, leave investment decisions to your spouse, or suffer from serious imposter syndrome when seeing your wealth manager. You ask yourself, “Why did I do that?!” If so, this book is for you. Rachel Cruze explains the psychology, strengths, and challenges that come with each of her brand-new Seven Money Tendencies. This book introduces new ways to understand how your parents, your fears, and your beliefs impact your money mindset.

Defining Wealth for Women
‘Peace, Purpose, and Plenty of Cash!’
You have it all from the outside: an advanced degree, a fulfilling career, a loving family, and a nice home. But inside, it’s a different story. Koo empowers women by challenging common money myths like “money is complicated” or “budgets are money diets.” She explains what women can do to control their finances through journal prompts and activities. Overall, this read will be a good fit if you aren’t confident about money but want to change your perspective.

My Money My Way: Taking Back Control of Your Financial Life
It actually does not matter whether you were born with the proverbial golden spoon in your mouth, are a self-made millionaire or are somebody trying to make ends meet. At the end of the day, we are all in the same boat. Only there is nothing out there for female wealth owners. Probably, as usual, it is assumed we have no “money problem” and do not deserve help anyway. But you and I know very well that having money does not mean that we have no problems with our attitude toward money or the management thereof. A screwed-up money mindset is a screwed-up money mindset no matter where you come from – so this book is worth reading.

Machiavelli For Women: Defend Your Worth, Grow Your Ambition, and Win the Workplace
An Accessible, funny, clear-eyed, and practical guide
Women have been making strides towards equality for decades, or so we’re often told. They’ve been increasingly entering male-dominated areas of the workforce and consistently surpassing their male peers in grades, university attendance, and degrees. They’ve recently stormed the political arena with a vengeance. But despite all of this, the payoff is—quite literally—not there: the gender pay gap has held steady at about 20% since 2000. And the number of female CEOs for Fortune 500 companies has actually been declining.
